I love exploring Texas and all of the glory our beautiful state has to offer. This past weekend I had the opportunity to visit Small Town Denton, Texas. Just on the outskirts of the city of Dallas lies this cute, little Texas town. Over 50,000 college students live in this area. This town is a whirlwind of fun and definitely a place I can find myself traveling to again. One way streets, brick buildings, and historical markers can be found all over town. The people are friendly and earthly. The town is quaint and absolutely authentic. The food is absolutely delicious and the environment is perfect for a domestic getaway. After a long weekend, my best friend Katie and I found ourselves at Barley & Board, a sit down restaurant native to Denton itself. We fell in love at first bite with the baked Brie, had a flight of Mimosas (10/10 we recommend), and devoured our burgers and ham steak. Denton, Texas was an enjoyable experience. If you ever find yourself in need of a weekend getaway, escape to West-Dallas, you won’t regret it.
