A different kind of yoga…

I am so grateful I get to call Houston, home. I love exploring and wandering the downtown streets to find new favorite spots. Recently, I heard of Yoga & Hops from one of the breweries I frequent. Yoga & Hops is a social yoga event with (you guessed it) cold beers after the class. The whole concept sounded really fun and I was excited to check it out. Knowing that my fellow “lemons” loved to sweat and get rewarded after, I extended the offer to go check it out and they were happy to join.

Saturday morning yoga was a great way to start the weekend. Yoga & hops was held at the 8th Wonder Brewery off of Dallas Street in downtown Houston. We started our flow and things really started to heat up. Even with the doors open and the breeze flowing, I

was working to earn that beer. After the yoga session was over and we slowed our heart rates down, our beer tokens were rewarded to us. We happily rolled up our mats, got our well earned brews, and headed outside. It was a beautiful day that day. 8th wonder offers a really fun outdoor area so while we sipped our well earned brews, we played Jenga, corn hole, and even got a bite to eat from the food trucks on site.

I’m so glad we decided to come check it out. Conditions were perfect, the class was fun and 8th wonder is always such a cool place to be. Yoga & Hops was the most fun I’ve ever had in a yoga class (and I’ve had my share of cool events). It was well worth the $25 we paid (and we got to take home a specially printed “Yoga & Hops 8th Wonder” glass). I highly recommend trying at least one class out with a friend (or three). You can check out any upcoming events here. Follow them on instagramfacebook, and twitter for more updates on upcoming events.

Stay flowy,
